Digital X-Rays

As part of our ongoing commitment to patient comfort and safety, we use digital x-rays to get faster, safer, and more accurate diagnoses. Because the digital x-ray system is more sensitive than traditional x-ray systems, your exposure to harmful radiation is cut by up to 90 percent.

Soft Tissue Laser

No matter how straight or white your teeth are, excessive gum tissue can make your smile appear gummy or pointy. Soft Tissue Laser is an effective tool for recontouring teeth and reshaping gums by removing excess gum tissue. Reshaping your gums can make small teeth appear larger by exposing more of the tooth and an even gum line can give you that attractive smile you’ve always wanted!

Another great service that we provide using the soft tissue laser, is it makes removing small oral lesions very easy and comfortable for the patient.

We also use it to quickly and painlessly laze cold sores. Cold sores should not reappear in the lazed spot ever again again!

Oral Cameras

No bigger than an electric toothbrush, the oral camera is used inside the mouth to provide high quality images of the teeth and gums to aid in diagnosis and patient education. Because of the high detail of the images, we can detect problem areas in their earliest stages.

Oral Cancer Screening

It is estimated that oral cancer kills more people than skin cancer, brain cancer, or prostate cancer, and yet very few people are aware of it. The key to fighting oral cancer is prevention and early detection. We recommend regular oral cancer screenings. When discovered during the early stages, people diagnosed with oral cancer have an 80 - 90% survival rate.

We offer Vizilite, which is an early cancer detection test  and also Oral CDX , which is a simple and painless, biopsy test. Prior to ViziLite, dentists had to rely on their own vision in the spotting of oral cancer, and often, by the time the dentist could see the signs of oral cancer, it would be in an advanced stage of development. This advanced technology allows us to detect oral cancer at a much earlier stage.

Diagnodent Laser Cavity Detection

Much like being able to see into the future, we have the technology to detect cavities before they become cavities. By using a special laser, we can spot weaknesses in a tooth, allowing us to catch cavities at the earliest stage. This allows us to preserve as much tooth structure as possible. You may never have to have your teeth drilled again!

Invisalign (R)

Perhaps the biggest deterrent to straightening your teeth with traditional braces is their awkward and unappealing metallic appearance. Invisalign is an alternative to braces that is virtually undetectable to others.

Instead of metal and wires, which can be painful in the mouth, Invisalign uses clear, customized components called aligners. With no metal wires you will need fewer office visits to get adjustments and the usual length of treatment is much less than traditional orthodontics.

One of the ways that we help patients quickly understand treatment options, we offer the CAESY DVD, which is a comprehensive software program that allows patients to learn about diagnoses, procedures, alternatives, and post-op instructions. The CAESY DVD covers an extensive range of dental topics, from hygiene to restorative, esthetic to periodontal disease, so you can be an educated patient.

The Smile Channel

The Smile Channel is a CD-based dental education and consultation system that features video, computer animations and hundreds of beautiful cosmetic cases. You can watch it in the waiting room the next time you visit our office.
